Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a support educator for Bmss Segelflyget!
Segelflyget is a service residence located in a multi-family house at Amhults Torg in Torslanda, where each tenant has their own apartment.
Our tenants are adults with varying disabilities, such as Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
At Segelflyget, you will work in a team where all colleagues are employed as support educators. As a support educator, you will provide tenants with support and care in all everyday situations. You will work based on the tenants' needs and promote their opportunities for development. Together with colleagues, you will design the pedagogical work in daily life. You, along with the team, will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions.
We actively work with various cognitive aids supported by the latest IT technology. We are implementing evidence-based practice in the operation and actively working with MI conversations (Motivational Interviewing) and ESL (An Independent Life).
As a support educator, you will ensure that all social documentation and implementation plans are established for the tenant you are the contact person for. Together with your colleagues, you will play a central role in the quality development of the operation and the systematic improvement work. You will be part of a network with other educators and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure the tenant receives good care, support, and service.
Housing with special services offers support around the clock. We base our work on the tenants' needs and need to adjust working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call. We use Time Care Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules.
Welcome with your application!

The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Communication is an important part of the job, which requires you to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
You have good computer skills and knowledge of social documentation. Experience working in the field of disabilities is an advantage, as is previous experience in the role of support educator.

With a professional and responsive approach, you contribute to a safe and inclusive climate for both tenants and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and work constructively with others to achieve common goals.
